  Re: Results of RTL 16^h^h15

(...) So, when counting robots, does Trevyn's robot count towards rtl15 or rtl16? :) Sure, it showed up at rtl16, but it was clearly built for rtl15, and just showed up late. (20 years ago, 29-Jun-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Results of RTL 16

(...) I uploaded several Zip archives last night with no trouble. I kept them all well under 5M. Try breaking your zip into several smaller chunks and upload one at a time, if you haven't tried that already. (also, of course, only have that one (...)   Re: Results of RTL 16

(...) Congrats on your much deserved win Iain. I could not attend the competition due to going out of town for the weekend. That's pretty incredible about all those people attending Canada's Wonderland. ...and parking all that way from the park... (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Results of RTL 16

(...) Roman and I both had a great time. :) This is the kind of event I like - totally laid back, relaxing, no-stress, and not crowded! Unlike Wonderland, which on Saturday was the highest-attended day in the last 3 years. We had to park in the (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Canada AM @ Wonderland

Hey all, If you're up early enough, from 6.15am to 9.15am on Wednesday, June 30, Roman and I will be at Canada's Wonderland on CTV's Canada AM! You should get to see Tomb Raider: The Ride, Carousel, Psyclone, and Sledgehammer. We'll be there with (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Results of RTL 16

A fun day indeed, even despite a lower-then-usual turnout. Partially my own fault for not building a bot :) – but I have good excuses … let me just get them from my car … *runs away* :P As for the pics from the event – I tried uploading them to (...)   Results of RTL 16

Sat was a fun day. I know everyone is waiting to hear about who won, and the results of the day. this is how things shaped up: Derek had a cold. Bruce showed up to whip some rope, and forgot to build a robot. Calum showed up with HALF a robot, John (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Folding

I just showed Kate the fold video, and I now have Asian folded shirts. its time to throw out that useless "flip fold" that we saw on TV (URL) to bottom of page to watch the bad animated GIF movie) Chris (20 years ago, 27-Jun-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: THe storekeep even sorta looks like Calum...

(...) I think she's about to collapse from the interlace flicker of those FRUITS on the low resolution monitor there. Yeah, while the Amiga was always in a dire lack of marketing materials, those wacky types at Commodore Germany always came up with (...) (20 years ago, 27-Jun-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: THe storekeep even sorta looks like Calum...

(...) This is because the 68010 had no floating point hardware. That is why I wrote Mandelvroom to use fixed point arithmetic. Instead of bits having values like 1, 2, 4, 8..... I made them have values like 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16...... Written in (...) (20 years ago, 27-Jun-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Globe and Mail Request

Re: THe storekeep even sorta looks like Calum...

(...) Come to think of it, I probably did try that once. Those screens look awfully familiar! The issue was speed: I initially only had an A2000HD with a "modified" CPU (a MC68010L10). This was the Amiga equivalent of putting a coffee can muffler on (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jun-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Desperate Programming Question

(...) Well I haven't used NQC yet but... (...) ...I believe if it's like C, that should be: whiteRope -= 5 (swap - and =) Your code would result in whiteRope always having the value -5. HTH ROSCO (20 years ago, 26-Jun-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Desperate Programming Question

I'm so screwed, and I can't figure out why this won't work. Yes, it's for tomorrow. Language is NQC. I have a light sensor looking at the rope. I want to "zero" it, after I latch on and start climbing, and then say, basically "Hey, when the light (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jun-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: THe storekeep even sorta looks like Calum...

(...) Aaaahhhh yes, the Amiga. What a great machine for its day. Calum did you ever get software off the Fish disks? I did a fractal program called Mandelvroom and gave away the source to the cause. Here is a site with pictures created with (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jun-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
