Does Toronto seem too far away for some people?
Are people concerned about costs related to travelling and lodging?

Hi Tim,

Thanks for taking the time to comment on this!

Personally, being in Ottawa, I did travel to rtl/Train1 & Train2, but
that was down and back the same day, which is a lot of driving time and
gas. Staying over could get really costly, especially for those of us
"income-challenged" people. And then it doesn't help that my transmission
went Kablooie this week. You know it's not good when the tow truck driver
says, and I quote, "I've never seen anything like that before."
Anyways, to get back on track, I do hope to come down, probably would only
be a day trip if I did, but I can't say for sure at this time.
If it weren't for the distance, I'd be there for sure, but it is quite a
distance, and you can't pack a lot of modules or large models into a Neon.

Here's a thought.  I'll throw it out there, and you can see what you think.

What if 2, or 3, or more Ottawa area builders car-pooled and then shared lodging
in Toronto?  Even if they were to come down for say the Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun of
the weekend.  (of course everyone is welcome to attend all three days!).

I'm just wondering if looking at it from a one-person-at-a-time perspective is
making some people think that to get just themselves there is too expensive.
But perhaps by sharing costs, we could include several more builders.

Anyone in Ottawa want to chime in?  Or, better yet, start contacting people in
your area to arrange something?  :)

Anyways, hope to see you then, but we'll wait and see.

I hope to see you as well.  Perhaps the idea above can open the door for a few
more people to attend.

Let me know what you think!
Allan B.
