I think you maybe misunderstood what I was saying!  I didn't mean that being
a firefighter was what made me "not" a geek!  I was just stating it for the
original question as to what AFOL's do!  Second, I was saying that if I was
walking a fine line dividing geeks and nongeeks, that I would be leaning
toward the geek side!  I meant that was true for most of the people who
frequent the internet and use computers a great deal!  I find a lot of
people who don't necessarily fit the geek definition, but would be more
geekish than nongeekish!  See what I mean?  Of course it depends on what a
definition of a "geek" is!  I suppose everyone has their own opinion on that!

On the other hand, just because you're a firefighter doesn't mean you're not a geek, either. :) And many of the computer professionals I work (...)
