There isn't anything to understand.  They are just trying to stay away from the
borg, er.. I mean Bill Gates and his monopoly jugggernaught. (1)

I am not in the market for a new computer right now, but if I was, Billy won't
see a penny of my money.  I would check out some of the Apple stuff, but most
likely Linux would be the OS for me.

(1) I know, I know, this from a person with a Hotmail account.  Well all I can
say is that I have had it before Microsoft took it over, and since it's free, I
never bothered to switch.  If you think this goes to show how strongly I feel
about the MS thing, well I guess you would be probably right.  I don't like him
and his business practices, but not enough to make any changes in my life.
