Where do the old models go when they die? —Jeremy H. Sproat
Where does a model go after you take it apart? It's there, in your hands, before it's taken apart. You can still see part of it halfway through disassembly. Sometime before the last two pieces are separated, it seems to transport to another place. (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Where do the old models go when they die? —James Brown
(...) It goes(1) to that great parts bin in the sky, where, if the gods of Lego are pleased, it will find fulfillment in the great cycle of reincarnation. Timmy just goes to hell. ;) 1: Without meaning to imply in any way anything that might (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) Which reminds me: More Intuitive Questions to Ponder: (1)(2) What happens when Matchlight Man takes a shower? Jeff :) 1 - This rhetorical! 2 - If you're wondering where this came from (or even if you aren't), I'll tell you. Some years ago (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Where do the old models go when they die? —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) Think about it: are there any rhetorical questions? You don't need to answer that. Cheers, - Sproat (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Where do the old models go when they die? —Tim McSweeney
(...) One could just as well ask "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" Cheers Tim (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Where do the old models go when they die? —Larry Pieniazek

Re: Where do the old models go when they die? —Tom McDonald
(...) Possible anti-temporal causality loop. (See "previous message", though it won't be called that because this would be the previous message, and the one before this one (or after it) will have yet to be written :) We might as well quit this (...)          Re: Where do the old models go when they die? —Terry Keller
(...) Egg nog, like hell. I've been reading Sproat's confused ramblings for some time now, and I've concluded he is more than simply intoxicated. The man is seriously warped, like 2x16 plate left on a hot sidewalk on a sunny day. Fried, I say. He's (...) (26 years ago, 22-Dec-98, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Where do the old models go when they die? —Tom McDonald
(...) Well, some theories have it that the "true set" actually resides in the instructions, which is why it is very important to keep them. Others say that each piece lends its own unique influence to a model, thereby making it different than (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Hmm..Let's look at this way..Every set has "souls"...So just grabbing some sort of pieces randomly and stucking them each other would not be resulted in a "set". Bricks are the (...)          Re: Where do the old models go when they die? —Tom McDonald
(...) I'm glad you more clearly defined "set", I hadn't done that. (...) *chuckle* It almost seems as if Town is undergoing devolution by that reason :) (...) Ah, those wacky rules... :) (...)         Re: Where do the old models go when they die? —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Clearly a troll, but I'm on vacation, so here goes. There is no model afterlife. A model exists for only as long as forces external to it, which it cannot control, suffer it to. Once disassembled it exists only in the memory of those that (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Where do the old models go when they die? —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) Actually, a half-troll. Kinda like a half-orc, I guess; all the looks of the troll but none of the strength. :-, Tom McDonald put it pretty well, in discussing the location of a "true set". (...) :-D Cheers, - Sproat (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) Probably mostly because his face is not very transferrable. I certainly wouldn't want a face like that commanding my starfleet, being mayor of my town, driving my train, etc. Also, if we transfer his head from a male hair piece to a female (...)          Re: Where do the old models go when they die? —Greg Bevington
(...) My friend Nate has put Timmy through extreme pain! One of them was actually blown up (I assume it was with a cherry bomb), and another was melted with a few matches...poor Timmy.... (26 years ago, 26-Dec-98, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
