  PS2 or XBox?

We're looking to update the kids console for Christmas, so it's either a PS2 or an X-Box. Anyone have any opinions either way? We had a PS1 for a long time, so I'm more inclined to keep with it (plus the backward compatability). While I do (...) (21 years ago, 19-Dec-03, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Return of The King (was Re: Two Towers (was Re: Fellowship))

I happened to catch an early preview of the film, and here a few spoilers for people who just can't wait to see it: 10. The events of the film take place in “real time” 9. “Narsil” turns out to have been the name of Aragorn’s sled when he was a boy (...) (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: More BSG Thoughts : Spoilers

Wayne- I concur with all of your points...especially the ones about the quietness of space and the Baltar character. It should be interesting to see what happens. Live it up, -sb (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: More BSG Thoughts : Spoilers

(...) Yes, I saw that myself. The source I was speaking of earlier has apologized for being trustworthy with his sources. However, I do know it has been picked up for a very limited run to see how it fares. That usually means anywhere from 6-12 (...) (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) I've been waiting for months so I definitely watched it. (...) I feel the same way. (...) I thought so too. Very realistic...not forgetting it is SCIFI and TV hehe. (...)   Re: Battlestar Galactica

In general I really liked the show. That suprised me because I had read all the negative press on the internet about the show as it was in development. I have to agree that the space battle scenes were well done and I like the attention paid to (...) (21 years ago, 11-Dec-03, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Battlestar Galactica

I thought it was pretty good. In fact, it kind-of grew on me as it went on. I have to assume they're gonna go to series. A lot of far weaker things have made it. The only thing that could limit it would be cost. Some thoughts: I *really* liked the (...) (21 years ago, 11-Dec-03, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Battlestar Galactica

(...) That would go to the person who made it, the GA himself. Mark made that a while back. I've been looking at all the vipers out there lately, and his was the koolest because it had a prisoner containment unit in the back. ~Trev (21 years ago, 11-Dec-03, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: OT Re: Legway and Robolab

(...) The first version of MIN was released a few weeks ago, but the Troll Bait filters won't be implemented until version 2.0.xxx.   Re: OT Re: Legway and Robolab

(...) How'd you get to 1.0.013 already? I thought you were still in beta (judging from the large spate of relatively content laden posts you've been emitting of late over on o-t.d anyway, although those are hard test cases, so much of what appears (...) Wayne & All, (...) I watched the 4 hour block last night, by accident. I just got home from work and it just started. I saw the preview show a little while back. I have to say I enjoyed it.   Re: Battlestar Galactica

(...) Agreed. I watched it very eagerly. It's not quite the original, but it was good on its own terms, and Edward James Olmos was really a pleasant surprise in the Adama role. It was one part Galactica, one part "Space: Above and Beyond", and one (...) (21 years ago, 10-Dec-03, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
