Fair enough. Let me re-characterize it as the worst tragedy inflicted on US
soil by a foreign agency. We have yet to see how many lives are lost in its
wake, and as a one-time event, 9/11 exceeds Pearl Harbor for raw carnage.

| (...) Oops. (...) Foreign agency? Never heard a terrorist group called that before (you learn something everyday indeed). I did forget about the military/civilian distinction though, so 9-11 is a much greater tragedy in that respect. -Stefan- (21 years ago, 18-Jul-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
