It looked like a simplified children's Bible to me, and not one meant to be
taken as complete. Perhaps reading through the "Young Person's Bible" I
gave to my son prepared me to accept this kind of thing.
I read through the Last Supper, with its Da Vinci look. I don't see what is
disrespectful here. However, I'm not sure how to take Instructions for
Slaves. It could be either extremely mocking of southern slave owners, or
highly offensive to blacks (I make no judgment and draw no conclusions).
There could be some lesson he means to impart beyond the actual words in the
Bible. I couldn't say.
