Mt 27:3-5 gives a wholly different and incompatible story of what happened
to Judas than the one presented in Ac 1:15-19.
In Matthew, Judas feels remorse for his actions, returns his thirty silver
pieces to the chief priests and elders, and then hangs himself. In Acts, he
uses the money to purchase a plot of land and then falls headlong and bursts
open.
I can see how a Bible commentary, wanting to force compatibility on these
two seemingly incomaptible stories would make up the part about climbing a
tree and bursting open while hanging himself. But that's extra-Biblical at
best.

That's a hair piece that I fashioned a while back based on someone on
LUGNET's suggestion. It's the Native American bison headgear with the horns
cut off and colored black (instead of brown) with a permanent marker.

I've been very pleased to see that The Brick Testament has been found
appealing by a broad spectrum of readers, some very religious, and others
not at all. The intensely strange imagery of Revelation will prove quite
the building challenge, but I hope to attempt something with it in the
future. But I feel I better return my attention to the neglected Old
Testament side of the site for the next installment.
