Herein perhaps lies part of the problem IMO.  BPS has taken a subject that is
for many a serious one, and while folks with a good sense of humor can brush it
off, some might find it offensive.

Well, you can probably always find someone to find something offensive.

For instance, I personally find those holocaust sets to be offensive
trivializations rather than "art".  Certainly BPS's work is frivolous, and IMO
most certainly appeals to non Christians rather than Christians.

For non Christians, it seems to me that it is some sort of vindication that the
Bible and its stories are bogus, or at least not serious.

To a Christian, there seems to be a underlying mocking tone (at least to this
one).

I haven't looked at these in too much detail, but what I see is someone
combining two life passions. Is it wrong for people to look for ways to
express things which are important to them? Is the _ONLY_ way to express
the content of the Bible the Bible itself? In which case, should
Christians be like Moslems and declare that only an original Bible, not
a translation, is valid? Which language then?

I hope you don't have any paintings of Bible scenes, after all, they're
just someone's interpretation. Or will you claim that a painting somehow
is more respectful? Why?
