Shalom, Shiri. Your friend is indeed very smart and I commend her for expressing such heartfelt and inspiring thoughts. I won't rehash my feelings regarding Israel, but in response to your friend's comment about some Jewish woman saying "We might lose Israel," I'd pose to that same woman if "lose" should better mean "give back what we have stolen." I'm not saying to ever bow to the demands of criminals or even crooked Arab leadership, but rather to respect the pleas of the many ordinary, displaced and anguished Palestinian families longing to return to their homes and homeland. Please pass this on to her along with my thanks for her letter. Dan

I'll play at Solomon here, Dan. Can we divide the baby and each of you take half and be happy? Jerusalem I would give to the U.N. or some other multi-nation organization ad infinitum -- that everyone may visit there in peace. I'm SO tired of the (...)
