That's all well and good (and you're welcome to believe it although much of

Obviously, your question was not to me therefore what's to answer?

Fortunately I was asking Chris, I guess, so there's still hope.

Chris can answer your question since only he knows what he meant by "How
about Cuba?". I was just responding to your comments regarding Cuba and
Communism.

What part is false? It's no secret that the sanctions cripple Cuba. Cuba is
NOT free to import and export like most other nations. As far as I know,
Castro had a falling out with the former U.S.S.R. leadership back in the
days and had limited support from then on as well.

Cuba is not like the former U.S.S.R., a large nation with vastly more
resources. Cuba is a relatively small, island nation and therefore very easy
for America to dominate with boycotts, embargos, sanctions, etc. It's a
failure in logic to argue that Communism (or Socialism, rather) doesn't work
in Cuba because the fact remains that Cuba has not been allowed to function
to it's full economic potential due to the sanctions. If Cuba had equal
opportunity to trade and prosper like other nations yet it still flopped,
then I think you'd have a valid argument.

And what other reason is there to maintain the sanctions other than to bring
down the country? The Cubans don't want to be our lapdogs again and we
despise them for that. Simply put, Cuba is a gem as far as potential tourism
$$$ is concerned and we want it back. It doesn't get any more straight
forward than that, Larry.

If you want examples of bad Communism, I think the former U.S.S.R. is a much
more definitive example and you'll get no argument from me. I don't think
Cuba is as much of an open-and-shut-case as most Amercians would assert.
