Re: Holding Hands with Satan (Press Release)

The preceeding post was made in the good faith belief that it was a press release and therefore intended for dissemination. The original link I had for this article is here: (URL) and you will note that it is preceeded by the words: FOR IMMEDIATE (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: Shrub's Economy (The Gladhand of Death)

(...) It should be noted that Arianna's ex ran for Senator on the Republican side with her full support, and that Arianna's column was stock non-thinking right wing at that time (there were far better conservative voices than her).   Re: Shrub's Economy (The Gladhand of Death)

(...) This guy is on the right track, he just misses the correct conclusion. Yes the best way to shrink this hulking giant of a government is to starve it via tax cuts. (...) I've never met someone with my last name who isn't related to me - in fact, my understanding is that absolutely everyone with my last name is related to me. Do I have to admit that I have the 40 years beat, too? ;-) -->Bruce<-- (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

A very frigid last name--was Re: So we're back to school yard politics...

(...) It's Dutch, and not all that common. It wasn't until I was into my 20's until I met other folks with my last name that I wasn't related to. Yeah, I haven't seen the damned thing yet, and I'm not likely to, the way it sounds. The first one was actually artistic, despite ripping off virtually every cyberpunk work of the last fifteen years. I hope its ok to get off of politics for just a moment. I know I'm probably in the minority here, but did anyone else think that Matrix2 was a big dissapointment?
