Re: My version -- The meaning of CHRISTmas

People have been celebrating winter solstice since well before the start of Judaeism, much less Christianity. The early expropriation of that holiday by the Christian church was one of the greatest marketing ploys of the first millenium. I'm happy (...) (26 years ago, 12-Dec-98, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) The various religious debates hold no interest for me, but I actually do read them some time. And I must say, I'd rather see them here than in a general discussion area.   My version -- The meaning of CHRISTmas

Now that Larry has defined the "True meaning of Christmas," I thought I would. Christmas, like it or not folks, is a CHRISTIAN holiday.
