Well, after dabbling with Mega Bloks and Intelli-Blox on and off for the past decade I've decided to abandon efforts to cross-brand my building. I've debated the relative merits of clone use back and forth for some time. I can't say it's any sort of (...) (20 years ago, 15-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) Doesn't this have more to do with MegaBloks being a hometown company than a marketing failure on the part of TLC? I wouldn't expect a big MegaBloks display in a toy store in Billund. Marc Nelson Jr. (20 years ago, 15-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Well, here is an other example of good marketing execution by Mega Bloks... And a bad one by LEGO, in my view. November 13th, 2004, a new toy store opened in Quebec City : (URL). <snip, et. al.> Well, here it is, my B-day, and I got to open up the package this morning. The crate is a bit better than reported or expected. It's real wood - thin and mostly ply, but real wood.
