I was in Brook's drug store in Keene, NH 2nite & found 2 of 3 new $4 MB sets: a yellow space fighter, & a lime green dune buggy; they didn't have the third set (shown on the back of the boxes), a red mini sub. Cool sets Jeff (20 years ago, 6-May-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) Mike, Yes they are able to sit flush next to LEGO bricks. There is no gap. They can really add to your creations and look really cool. Hi! I know of one other clone brand that no one has mentioned yet. It is called PixelBlocks. They are 1x1 translucent bricks that connect like LEGO bricks on the top and bottom but can also connect on the sides. They come in 20 different translucent (...) I've recently come across two different "brick construction systems". First is X Blocks Construction system, I saw an ad for this in Ultimate Fantastic Four, Issue #4. I think they're new, at least. I just saw them for the first time at Target, and they're already on clearance. The buckets are labeled 987 and 988 and include 250 basic bricks in each. Not really a clone, but a competitor to my mind I picked up a 2004 Playmobile catalogue today when browsing for Lego.
