Come to think of it, I snagged a Dell promotional set on ebay a few years
ago. It was nothing but a handful of black 1x4 and 2x4 bricks, with a decal
to simulate the front of a server. I wonder if that was likewise from the
same company. Hmm...

That actually looks kind of cool. How do you know they are Megabloks though?

I happened to be on the GI Interactive site again, and I found this
case study that mentions
MEGABLOKS by name. Also, in
this image you can very faintly see the brick’s logo between the studs, and
it looks to be in the same place and configuration as the MEGABLOKS logo.
It would be great if the company supported smaller purchases. Although I can
think of some cool stuff to put on a brick, I don’t need 700 copies of it...
