  C3 sets

I'm pretty sure that ArtAsylum's C3 line has been discontinued, as evidenced by the forthcoming LEGO licensed Batman stuff, but I stumbled upon a gallery of photos of C3 sets that were apparently never released (along with some that were). Of (...) (21 years ago, 13-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Heads up, atheists

(...) Bravo, I say. In so doing, Pat demonstrated loud and clear that "Intelligent Design" is in fact the fundamentalist Christian notion of creationism, thereby ending the argument espoused by ID-proponents that it's a "non-theistic" "scientific" (...)   Re: To John Neal, aka "Tucson"

(...) You need to pay? That's messed up. I'm pretty sure that I could PM before I paid. Maybe there's a minimum post-count? Dave! (21 years ago, 13-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Heads up, atheists

(...) Admitting he was wrong after universal outcry against him. Pat Robertson has said to many crazy things lately for me to take him seriously as a Christian. Threatening God's wrath on the people of a PA town for teaching evolution? Calling for (...) (21 years ago, 13-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

(...) I need to pay for that privilege on That Other Forum, so I'll look into it. BTW, I already paid the first time around before I was nuked>:( lol, the word for the day on my widgets is "renascent"; my choice for my next go around (if (...)   To John Neal, aka "Tucson"

Hey, if ever you're inclined to try to reach me via email during a workday, you could PM me at That Other Forum, since I can access that whilst at my job. Just a thought. Dave! (or is it Orrex?) (21 years ago, 12-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Multilingual webserver

(...) Right - the subrequests aren't visible to the user, so they would never see the /real-files - only the URI in their local language. I guess the first check the mapper would have to do is compare the URI with the desired language, and if they (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Multilingual webserver

(...) But my point is that people should _see_ a URL in the same language as the page. Hiding it inside Apache would be no fun. Play well, Jacob (21 years ago, 9-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Multilingual webserver

(...) Well, first of all no one would ever see /real-files in any url or location bar, so they wouldn't know to link to it. And anyway it is easy to set up access such that direct requests to that URI would be denied - accept only 'subrequests', as (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Multilingual webserver

(...) But what would I then do if somebody made links to /real-files? (...) But Apache is still written in C. I have already written my own special-purpose web-servers a few times, so it is not something I haven't tried before. And I trust my own (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Heads up, atheists

(...) <<chuckle>> I have been away for a while. So I kinda walked into this one on the strength of the subject. Silly me. Can't imagine why atheists would care whether there was some bloke called Jesus padding about 2,000 years ago. Must remember to (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Multilingual webserver

(...) Yes, you use an external script for the mapping... But it is a fairly simple perl script. And the infinite loops are avoided by having the actual URLs be off a separate tree - /lego/dat/model.dat could be rewritten as (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Multilingual webserver

(...) I think it would at least require an external rewriting program just to handle the mapping of the accepted and available language to a selected language. And I can't see how you can avoid infinite loops using the Apache rewritemap directive. (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Heads up, atheists

(...) Agreed. Kinda like the Scopes trial in reverse;-) (...) He sets up a classic error-- he has so-called proofs that he has written about that Jesus didn't exist-- he claims it is up to the other side to prove him wrong. (...) Even moreso the (...)   Re: Heads up, atheists

(...) I'm surprised that this is going to court, honestly. How can you prove that someone didn't exist ~2000 years ago? The best you can do, IMO, is show that the evidence doesn't support the conclusion that he existed. AFAIC, the Gospels are (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)
