I believe my LEGO Diablo phase has come to an end...I think I have finally
succeeded in creating a likeness (but that's for you to decide).
Modeled after the latest Diablo, my LEGO rendition is fully motorized (with a
geared motor and a micromotor for steering).  The working headlights light up
whenever the car is in motion.  The front hood reveals a spare tire (or room
for luggage).  The rear deck lifts to show of the famous 6.0 liter V-12 (and
the contacts for the wires to the "remote control" handset).  The doors open
over prototypically large sills to a comfortable and fully detailed interior.
But I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:

And a few high resolution "wallpaper" images:

Please LMKWYT!  If I'm missing a photo of some angle, or if you would like a
high res image of any other shots, please let me know!

I think you presented your model from all angles. I tried to pick out a favorite view and I just like them all. Everything is perfect down to the wiring. Beautiful job! -- Bob Fay California, USA rfay@we.mediaone.net (URL) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

Although more of a technic man myself, I do have a soft spot for highly detailed models such as yours. Yours has a great likeness to the real Diablo, the way you have dealt with the various intakes and curves in Lego is very impressive. Maybe I'll (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) Nice job! I think you have captured the lines of the real car very well indeed. I really like the use of that hinged plate on the bonnet for some reason! Jennifer Clark (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

Hi Bram, Thanks for sharing pictures of that coooool model!!! It really looks fast, does the LEGO motor realize what the car looks like ;-) ?? Your car reminds me of a Ferrari model a friend and I build something like 15 years ago. We used the (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

So, what colors does it come in? What's it's sticker price? ;-) Seriously, that's an outstanding model! 8-) I really hope you encode this for ".cad"! ;-) Franklin (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

Bram, That's an amazingly detailed model. You should send in some pics to Lamborghini...maybe they will like it so much that they will commission it from you. I don't know if adding tiles would disrupt the appearance of your model too mush...but I (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) No, why do you say that? You can always build one in 8448 scale. At that scale, you can incorporate even more details! ;-) The interior details are very nice. When I come to the interior, I'm normally so bored with the model that I simply add (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

absolutely stunning!! I love it. you achieved all of the right panel lines and all of the angles flow nicely. the engine detail is great as well. But i espeically like what you did with the cockpit. It all has so much detail. Can the wheels be (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)
