Whoah!
Great Job. Really, really great model.
I like the overall shape, I like the body detail, (especially those sloped
things like the air-intake look cool), those obscurely hinged doors are cool,
too, and to put such a detailed interior into the car is fantastic.

There are two things, I like to nitpick about, though:

First is the wheelbase on the front. Like some other folks allready said, I
would also think the car would look even nicer if the wheels would be "in line"
with the fender, or only a little bit inside. I know, though, that this would
pretty much mess up your steering (or the shape of your fender, if you leave
the steering like that. I thought a bit about it, and there may be a way to get
along with six-sud-wide wheel-housings and steering. The problem is, that the
wheels travel too much to the front / back while turning. If  you can get the
fulcrum of the front wheels close to the wheel (or even better, within the rim)
the wheel should turn "in place" I don't have a camera around nor any
mlcad-experience, so I made a little drawing, see

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=28554

( I hope you can make anything of it)
I'm not sure, if those special steering parts from 8440 / 8445 / 8858 fit into
the ModelTeam rims, I don't have any. You would have to turn the rims inside
out, but (as said by others) that would come even closer to the original
Diablo.

The other little thing are the Headlights. When trying to build a sportscar, I
allways disliked those slope-pieces as headlights, I think they make the car
look kinda dumb. Maybe you want to give this a try:

You can also use the "negative" windshields from those early helicopters or
attach them on hinges so you can tilt them a bit to make them a bit steeper.

Anyway, its still a terrific / gorgeous / awesome? Diablo, that you bricked
together.

Please lmkwyt,

and give us some more of this great models!

(...) Thanks! (...) Unfortunately, I have none of those sets, so I can't even test whether that would work. LEGO steering parts tend to be quite large, which does make the "turning in place" really hard to implement. I doubt any steering parts could (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

I believe my LEGO Diablo phase has come to an end...I think I have finally succeeded in creating a likeness (but that's for you to decide). Modeled after the latest Diablo, my LEGO rendition is fully motorized (with a geared motor and a micromotor (...)
