Great Job. Really, really great model.

Thanks!

Another problem with turning the wheels around is that then they will no
longer appear low profile.

Well, You might have a point there ...

The other little thing are the Headlights. When trying to build a
sportscar, I allways disliked those slope-pieces as headlights, I
think they make the car look kinda dumb. Maybe you want to give this
a try:

Nice drawings!  I like the look of the windsheilds like that.  The only
problem with your solution is that there's no room to implement it while
retaining the working headlights.

True, you would have a very hard time sqeezing the headlights in there ...!

The parts you placed interfere with [snip]... and the wheel well area.

Hmm, when I tried to rebuild your front with new headlights ( though with old
technic tires and a slightly modified steering, still with old parts), there
was enough room for the wheels.

Do you dislike the slopes because of the texture?

Yes, its the texture, exactly speeking the two "domes" in the middle.

or because they are steeper than the rest of the car?  I specifically used
these slopes because the headlights are steeper than the body on the real car:

Oh, I didn't notice that! Didn't have a closer look at *that* picture. - Spent
some time though staring in amazement at most of the others :-))

and give us some more of this great models!

Classes have started again, but I'll try to build some more stuff once I
have my new website complete.  The Diablo is already up:
http://bram.rapturesoft.com/cgi-bin/display.pl?m=diablo

Layout looks fresh, but my Netscape (4.6) does not get the thumbnails right:
they are overlapping a big part.

as are a bunch of other "Land" models:
http://bram.rapturesoft.com/cgi-bin/menu.pl?m=land

Good idea to split the models up to the different scales.
Again, nice design, but the black and blue font displayed partly on the grass
is difficult to read (or should it all be on the right side, and my Netscape
messes it up again?)

Best regards,

-Norman

(...) Yes, Netscape 4.x does a terrible job displaying my page, even though I only used style sheets for the background and type faces. (...) Thanks! (...) Unfortunately, I have none of those sets, so I can't even test whether that would work. LEGO steering parts tend to be quite large, which does make the "turning in place" really hard to implement. I doubt any steering parts could (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)
