This may have something to do with the number of SKUs that TLC is limited to. I
counted last night and I came up with something like 325 orderable items in the
current catalog. Thats alot.

Yes for some people, but not for others. Also keep in mind that TLC can flip
the switch anytime they desire (production schedules not withstanding) and make
more of something. The BL sellers do not have that option. BL sellers are
(typically) involved in taking an imbalanced market and imparting a little
balance.

BL (primarily) deals with the core Lego geeks, whereas S@H deals with a much
wider audience.

Possibly, but I doubt if BL has had much effect. PaB may be one possible
example of a BL influence.

Thats a level of service that many BL sellers would aspire to, but few have the
gross volume to be able to do that.

| (...) I'm not sure I understand what the SKU issue is. I know that in the recent BrickFest keynote, Brad J. mentioned something about an SKU shortage... Why would there be a limit on SKUs? Answering my own question, I suppose it has to due with the (...) (21 years ago, 10-Sep-03, to lugnet.market.theory)
