I agree this is the first, and very important, step that disguntled buyers
take. It's time that people got over the negative feedback fear/wars and
just leave it appropriately.

You bring up great points. As both a seller and buyer on bricklink, I am
very sensitive to this as well. I take the time to grade each part offered,
and put the grading scale description on my splash page. I wish more
sellers would do the same.

I think these sellers really don't care about quality, they just want to
sell the parts for profit.

This is offensive in every way to me as a buyer.

I believe you are right that alot of sellers offer no guarantee of
condition. I personally offer every item sold in my store is guaranteed as
described.

I think you have experienced alot of what I have as well. There is nothing
more discouraging to spend $$ on parts that you then have to turn around and
throw away, because you certainly would never feel good about reselling them
to anyone else. Still, there is value in good used parts, just not any used
part.
My dilemna often is whether to order hard to find items from sellers with
little feedback. I usually give most sellers a first chance, but I admit to
favoring sellers I know and/or those with good feedback.

Yes.

Most definitely. Of course, you can always leave neutral feedback as well.
After all, if the seller delivered the sold goods in a timely matter, then
there was a positive side to the transaction.

Yes and no. Depends on the seller, feedback, and if there are quality
descriptions and/or any guarantee.

I wish that all sellers who sold used parts would do this; I do it at my store.

I totally relate to your frustration. The feedback forum is the place to
start, and also there are discussion boards on bricklink you can also post
frustrations to raise awareness. Not everyone is a conscientious seller,
and they may not even think they are doing anything wrong. Of course, there
are probably sellers who know the quality is poor and still sell without regard.
