I have no problem with it. I'm not bashful. Heck, I have no problem telling
people where to go, or where to get off, so why would I have a problem
telling them to get it for themselves? :-)

Since both scenarios have problems, I suggest that there be no codified
default, but instead a codified practice (faq, header of group, info on
splash page, whatever) that people "ought" to say which they mean. And
further, no hard feelings either way if they forget, as it's a persnickety
standard.
