Exciting finds at Toy Liquidators aka KB Outlet —Maggie Cambron
Well, they were exciting for me-- my knees actually got weak when I spotted that Paradisa box on the shelf tucked under some Res-Q set! I was headed up to the cashier clutching the box in my sweaty palms to beg, wheedle and coax her to check the (...) (24 years ago, 24-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Exciting finds at Toy Liquidators aka KB Outlet —Nick Goetz
Great find! Can you give us some more info like Did both stores have the Paradisa sets? I know you said they weren't identical but was the Pradisa set one they both had in common? Second, where? Are you on the East coast, North west, Texas, etc.? (...) (24 years ago, 25-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Exciting finds at Toy Liquidators aka KB Outlet —Maggie Cambron
Okay, I'm in Northern California. I wiped out the Poolside Paradise stock at the stores at Vacaville Factory Outlets and Natomas Station Factory Outlets (Sacramento). Only Vacaville had the Dark Forest set, and I only saw the buckets at Natomas (but (...) (24 years ago, 25-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Exciting finds at Toy Liquidators aka KB Outlet —Cary Clark
I called the one in Smithfield, North Carolina: the woman who answered was very helpful. She couldn't give me the prices, because they had just received the shipment and hadn't priced them yet, but she had a bunch of Duplo plus: 6572 Wind Runners (...)           Re: Exciting finds at Toy Liquidators aka KB Outlet —Mike Walsh
The KB Toy Outlet at the Morrisville, NC Factory Outlet has nothing new. All they have is a couple of UFO sets. Mike -- Mike Walsh - mike_walsh@mindspring.com (URL) Clark" <cary@corp.nospamwebtv.net> wrote in message (...) (24 years ago, 25-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Exciting finds at Toy Liquidators aka KB Outlet —Cary Clark
Thanks Maggie for the great tip. Great for me, anyway. I just dropped nearly $800 at the KB Toy Liquidators at the Smithfield, NC location. Some of the prices are certainly much better than others, but if you spend over $500 you can ask for a 10% (...) (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

6416 Poolside Paradise (was Re: Exciting finds at Toy Liquidators aka KB Outlet) —Nick Goetz
I have been thinking about this and it sure seems strange. Where would this quantity of Paradisa sets been hidden for the last 3 years? I don't recall ever seeing them in a S@H sale or on a speical page in the catalog. Very interesting how these (...) (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: 6416 Poolside Paradise (was Re: Exciting finds at Toy Liquidators aka KB Outlet) —Cary Clark
Most (but not all) of the sets I picked up have no piece count on the box, suggesting that they were not made for the US market. Poolside Paradise in particular has a catalogue written in Japanese, printed in 1995. Lego hasn't penetrated the (...) (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Exciting finds at Toy Liquidators aka KB Outlet —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Maggie said she's not selling. If anyone else runs across these, I will buy all you are willing to sell me at a 25% markup from your cost, for project use. (that is, the ones you sell me will not be seen again as sets, but rather as parts in (...) (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Exciting finds at Toy Liquidators aka KB Outlet —Bruce Schlickbernd
(...) Thanks for posting this message! I dashed to the City of Commerce (SoCal - the Assyrian-styled "Citadel" ex-factory on the 5 freeway) during lunch and snagged all eight 6024s they had (hidden high on a shelf). I'm a happy camper. I also found (...) (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Exciting finds at Toy Liquidators aka KB Outlet —Chris Maddison
(...) Post if you find any other good stuff! The Toy Liquidators in Williamsburg, IA also had all these deals. I cleaned out the Bandit Ambush sets, and picked up some Paradisa and Time Losers (for 80% off!). I also noticed that they had a small (...) (24 years ago, 27-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

If anyone is willing to do a buy-and-ship (for a commission, of course) of one of those Paradisa 6416 Poolside Paradise sets, I would love one. Just one... it's for me to play with, not to sell parts from! Kevin (24 years ago, 27-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Exciting finds at Toy Liquidators aka KB Outlet —Mike Stanley
(...) I hit the Toy Liquidators near me today and cleaned them out of the stuff I wanted. Lots more junk left there, but it was all the insectoids crap and mostly overpriced Ninja and Adventurers stuff, even on clearance pricing. I got 2 6416's (...)      (...) If you dont mind saving some of those 6024's .. I'll buy a few or trade for wolfpack renegades. LMK by email if your interested, Ben Cox (24 years ago, 28-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Exciting finds at Toy Liquidators aka KB Outlet —Mike Stanley
(...) Sorry, no interest in selling them, at least not for anything near what I paid for them. In fact, I just traded for 4 more 6024's yesterday. And I have 20 6038's from the Lego Outlet find a while back, so I'm not really desperate for those. I (...) (24 years ago, 28-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) None at the Gilroy store :-( (...) They had bunches of these, but marked "Race and Chase" <shrug> Of possible interest as parts fodder is the 6567 Speed Splasher, at $1.99.         Re: Exciting finds at Toy Liquidators aka KB Outlet —Mike Stanley
(...) Didn't see any of this set that I remember. That's almost a decent price, but nowhere near the discount that I got on the other sets. And I don't like Ninja stuff anyway except for parts, so the minifigs do me no good. (24 years ago, 29-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)
