I meant to mention something... perhaps it's obvious, perhaps not. The
folks I ordered with are not adult LEGO builders such as myself. These are
just parents of LEGO building kids. So this little plan doesn't have to
rely on you somehow luckily working with another LEGO builder, only finding
parents who are wanting to buy for their kids.
An update to our little story.
We put in our second order today. More than $150 U.S. in combined items.
While some of these items would have been bought anyway (either online or in
a store) it's safe to say that some of these sales would never have happened
if the LEGO bug hadn't bit the office yesterday. One person ordered nothing
more than two brick separators. Not much, but again it was another sale
that would never have happened otherwise.
Just to get people going today I also brought in the last Shop At Home
catalog. You should have seen the normally reserved people who came over to
my cubicle to talk about Red Barons and Santa Fe's etc. People really got
jazzed over the sets.
As well, the one Advent Calendar that was part of our first order inspired
no less than 4 more to be ordered today. :)
