  Skymall LEGO shopping

This seems like a venture by LEGO to present LEGO for sale to generally adult buyers... I noticed two pages of LEGO available via the Skymall magazine on a recent flight I took on United. There's pictures straight from the S@H catalog, but the (...) (23 years ago, 15-Oct-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  FOTW, or even better??

I take back every disparaging remark I've made about LEGO finds at my local Wal Marts today. On a bored whim I drove to a store in a small town in Ohio that I don't even know the name of (the same place I found the Gungan Sub for $9.50... with a (...)   TRU weekly toy flyer back

You know the holidays are approaching when TRU starts putting a 24 page toy advertisement into the Sunday papers (I am in the U.S. BTW). The one for Oct. 14-20 features a two page spread devoted to LEGO. The only set on sale is Jack Stone set #4609 (...) (23 years ago, 14-Oct-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: Vision Command $60 at kbkids.com

(...) Lucky! My local Wal Marts never discount anything, despite having shelves upon shelves of poorly arranged "clearance" items, they're all full price or a few bucks off... the Battle Droid is $23, the Pit Droid is $15, the Droideka is... well (...)   Re: Vision Command $60 at kbkids.com

I've heard before that BestBuy has discounted Vision Command to $25, but around the SF Bay Area these can't be found. However, just for the record, the latest Lego catalog lists Vision Command at $49.99. You can get these all day long by calling (...) (23 years ago, 14-Oct-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Select LEGO on sale at Target starting tommorrow

Rumor has it that both 3409 Championship Challenge and 7316 Excavation Searcher will be on sale next week (Oct 14-20) at Target for $39.96. (As usual I found out by snooping around looking behind tags, so there may be other sets also.) With the $10 (...) (23 years ago, 14-Oct-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Vision Command $60 at kbkids.com

Kbkids.com has the Vision Command set for $59.99, not a great deal - but with potential coupons, etc., I thought someone might be interested. They also have a few Duplo sets at 50% off (from their marked up prices). And just FYI - to watch for... (...) (23 years ago, 13-Oct-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Cheap RIS sets

Surprisingly, the RCX in the set I just got was marked "2.0" which means that this bunch was a relatively recent restock - I'm guessing June or so, just before the release of the 2.0 sets. (SAH had a stock-out period for a bit before the new 2.0's (...) (23 years ago, 9-Oct-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Cheap RIS sets

I'll see what I can find out by phone order. $60 off the RIS is just too good to pass up despite being so very far away from an actual store. I know it's a pretty big purchase, but is anyone willing to pick one of these up for me? I could add (...) (23 years ago, 9-Oct-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Cheap RIS sets

(...) When the employee at the store I visited (Vacaville, CA) discovered I was looking for good deals on Mindstorms, the first thing he asked was, "Is this for your school?", which made me assume that they are used to handling PO's. Then when I (...) (23 years ago, 9-Oct-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Cheap RIS sets

Confirming a post earlier, Comp USA (White Plains NY in this case) has RIS 1.5 sets at $139. A bunch in stock. Dark Side Dev. Sets are still (relatively) overpriced at $75. Only a few around. The peons on hand were not clear, but this might be (...) (23 years ago, 8-Oct-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Wal-Mart in Riverside CA had all sets (Castle, Train, Hut, Corridor, Keys, Dungeon, Mirror, Sorting Hat, Classroom, Gryf.
