You know the holidays are approaching when TRU starts putting a 24 page toy
advertisement into the Sunday papers (I am in the U.S. BTW). The one for Oct.
14-20 features a two page spread devoted to LEGO.
The only set on sale is Jack Stone set #4609 Fire Attack Team for $31.99 (the
Mania mag coupon would bring another $4 off).
Half a page is devoted to HP sets which presumably are in by now, but all are
at full price.
Probably the most notable item (for some!) is that on Friday Oct. 19 at 7:00pm
there will be a Bionicle Battle of the Beasts event during which a "FREE
special edition CD-ROM with Snowball Sling Bionicle Game, Bionicle Toa Screen
Saver and more" will be given out to the first 100 kids. "Plus a FREE Bionicle
Collector Poster and Exclusive Mask when you buy any Bionicle item.... No
