  Re: What's with Brickbay

(...) Besides, who wants to support Microsoft if they don't have to! I just finished creating a new architecture for my companies website using Java Servlets, XML and XSLT. The nice thing about XML and XSLT is that they are both standardized, so you (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: sale @ etoys.com

(...) You're forgetting the fact that online stores don't have to pay for store overhead like the ones in the mall, and if they're selling most things at mall-store retail prices, where's that extra $ going? ~Mark (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Compared to .PL and .CGI? It's MS proprietary. Other than that it's fine. ++Lar (24 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: What's with Brickbay

(...) I understand your dislike of Javascript since it depends on what browser you're using but what do you have against ASP? It's strictly a server-side language that doesn't affect you as the client at all. What's bad about ASP that's OK with .CFM (...)   Re: sale @ etoys.com

(...) Not until after you'd bought a box and some plastic peanuts, and paid someone to pull them from inventory, stuff 'em in the box, top it off with peanuts, seal it up, and label it, you couldn't. It doesn't seem likely, at their prices, but it's (...) (24 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  New Bonus Packs Found/Shopko Sale

During a road trip today, I can confirm that the Target Star Wars exclusive pack does exist. It retails for $49.99. Included in this pack are 7171 Mos Espa Pod Race, 7110 Land Speeder, and 7101 Lightsaber Duel. This Target also had the Dark Side (...) (24 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: sale @ etoys.com

(...) At least they don't jack up their prices above retail, or put non outlet stores in outlet malls, both KB tricks. The shipping isn't so bad if your order is bigger, mine was 300 and the shipping added 20. Not a great deal but not too bad. ++Lar (24 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: sale @ etoys.com

I looked at a couple of different pricing schemes. They were all way too much. You could US Mail all 4 o' them critters for less than 7 bucks. The way I figure, it's just not worth it. IMO ~M (24 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Amazon is showing 9735 for $74.99 (again)

(...) I hate to sound greedy, but does anyone know of additional discounts/coupons through Amazon.com? I want to buy - but I'm also curious about the regular price drop that was mentioned... should I wait? (24 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: sale @ etoys.com

(...) Huh...That's weird. Did you pick the standard or the express shipping? I was just poking around, and picked standard, which was ~$7, not very cheap for 4 Naboo Swamp sets. Looking at their shipping scheme, it is $3 base for standard, +$0.95 (...) (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: sale @ etoys.com

Watch out for those shipping prices! I was all prepared to buy 4 Naboo Swamp sets until I discovered that shipping would be $15.00. Kind of takes the "sale" out of the sale. The way I figure it, they're not paying for store space if they're online, (...) (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  sale @ etoys.com

It looks like etoys has put more 1999 SW Lego on sale. Include now is pretty much every set from the 1999 SW release under $10 (Speeder Bikes, Land Speeder, Lightsaber Duel, etc.). Toki (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Amazon is showing 9735 for $74.99 (again)

That's the excuse they gave you? The one they gave me was there was some kind of software glitch on their system that mistagged a lot of toys. Here is the "official" story: (URL) know a lot of places will honor mistagged merch sales, but they've got (...) (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Amazon is showing 9735 for $74.99 (again)

(...) I just double-checked, and I goofed: it was actually $90, not $80. Which is good news for me, because I have one to trade/sell, and I won't have to take as big a hit on it ;-) Ran (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Amazon is showing 9735 for $74.99 (again)

A regular price drop to $80 would be nice, then Amazon would have no excuse for sending me this lame excuse for cancelling my order: "We are sorry to report that we have contacted the supplier, and the price of the following item has increased: (...)   Re: Amazon is showing 9735 for $74.99 (again)

(...) There's been at least one report of the *regular* price on this set being lowered to $80: see a thread entitled "MindStorms Price Drop" on r.t.l, starting about 22-Jul-00. Ran (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Amazon is showing 9735 for $74.99 (again)

(...) I heard a news report about a software glitch that Amazon had that reduced prices up to 50%. They stated that they will honor all prices that were listed. So if anyone ordered anything call them back and get them to honor their prices. Rose (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Amazon is showing 9735 for $74.99 (again)

Dark Side Developer Kit spotted in Vancouver!

Hi, Actually, in Richmond Center, there's a small toy store called "Kid's Wonderland." And it surely is! Today I spotted the Dark Side Developer Kit - I think they had two copies. The price tag is $149.99 CDN. It was in the front window. Also, they (...) (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.ca.bc.van, lugnet.market.shopping)
