  Policy Changes at PayPal

PayPal made some policy changes on 17 Jan. Quick synopsis... o unverified senders of funds now have a $2,000 ceiling. o receivers of funds now have a 5-day window to click a 'refund' button to unwind a transaction. Ray (23 years ago, 22-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.services)

Just a head up incase anybody didn't get a notice, or blew off reading it. Starting 12/17: *** Fee Structure. The new pricing for Yahoo! PayDirect will be based on 2.5% of the transaction amount plus 30 cents. Any fee you will be charged will be (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.market.services)

  Re: Bidpay information

(...) I have sent and received payments with BidPay more times than I can count. With only 2 minor exceptions [1] all transactions have been perfectly painless. You have the procedure correct. However, the fee schedule is NOT similar to other (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.market.services)

  Bidpay information

I am curious if someone who is familiar with Bidpay can clarify a few things for me. Like how does it compare to Paypal in terms of charges? How does the whole process work? My understanding is that person A wants to send person B a charge of say (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.market.services)

  Re: Paypal payment status "Unclaimed"?

(...) Believe me, PayPal doesn't make things easy for receivers of money either. It is in general a very unfriendly service to deal with if anything goes awry. They don't give you an email to look at, you have to fill out a form which is very hidden (...) (23 years ago, 8-Nov-01, to lugnet.market.services)

  Re: Paypal payment status "Unclaimed"?

(...) Well, I wasn't quite THAT lazy, of course I clicked on it hoping for an explanation but all I got from scanning the new page was a summary of the transaction details. Since I first posed my question yesterday the unclaimed monies have changed (...) (23 years ago, 8-Nov-01, to lugnet.market.services)

  Re: Paypal payment status "Unclaimed"?

(...) The receiving party must click "claim" in the transaction summary. If it remains unclaimed it will revert to the sender, eventually. At least that's what I understand. It also happens when someone who doesn't have a paypal account gets a (...) (23 years ago, 8-Nov-01, to lugnet.market.services)

  Re: Paypal payment status "Unclaimed"?

(...) You made a payment to a member. The payment type or the member type was such that the member has to claim it. For instance, if you make a cc funded payment to my personal account, you will see it in that state until I reject it. (I don't (...) (23 years ago, 8-Nov-01, to lugnet.market.services)

  Paypal payment status "Unclaimed"?

Hey Y'all: This is the stupid question from the guy who can't find the paypal glossary/FAQ, and won't waste a lot of time trying to find it when he can simply ask all of you well-informed, friendly people instead. What does the payment status of (...) (23 years ago, 8-Nov-01, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: No more CC freebies at PayPal (eff 11/6)

(...) Nothing has changed, like you mentioned you can still have one personal account & one business account. No more credit cards on the personal account.   Re: No more CC freebies at PayPal (eff 11/6)

(...) Unless they've changed something else you can still have one Personal and one Business account simultaneously. Some sellers were already using two accounts and requesting buyers point out their intent to use a CC funded payment so they could (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: No more CC freebies at PayPal (eff 11/6)

(...) I figured this was coming--it was nice to have the free ride. Now sellers who use PayPal have to pay for it, just like every other retail merchant. Sounds fair to me. I've never made my buyers pay it--another cost of doing business. best LFB (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.market.services)

No more CC freebies at PayPal (eff 11/6)

I saw this on the site, would have been nice if they sent an email: Notice Date: October 11, 2001 Effective Date: November 6, 2001 To reduce the costs associated with credit card processing, the ability to receive credit card funded payments will (...)   Ecount.com

Anyone ever sign up and use www.ecount.com yet? I have known about if for a few months but never see anything about it. Just now I saw the first Ebay auction with an Ecount.com payment button.   Re: eBay searcher?
