What does the payment status of "unclaimed" mean?  Does it just mean that
the money transfer routes are working their database magic *very slowly*?
Does it usually resolve itself within a day or two? What?

The receiving party must click "claim" in the transaction summary.
If it remains unclaimed it will revert to the sender, eventually.
At least that's what I understand.  It also happens when someone
who doesn't have a paypal account gets a payment to an email address--
it must be claimed by opening a PP account or adding that email
   to the list.

That's the only time I ever get an "unclaimed" notice, anyways.
