  BrickBay... yet another hiccup

Between (approx) 1745 and 1805 EDT, BrickBay was unreachable. I got various symptoms of unusability including "The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed." Now I see that the Discussion D/B has been reset back to (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: My worst E-Bay/LEGO Experience-A Story, A Warning

(...) Matt, Wow! You have single-handedly, though perhaps unknowingly, indicted all of capitalism. For the trouble of extending Lego Shop @ Homes reach and advertising, for taking on the risk of selling at a loss, for bringing to market something (...)   Re: My worst E-Bay/LEGO Experience-A Story, A Warning

(...) Actually, such an auction isn't necessarily deceitful of him-- mainly because people in other countries & overseas don't *have* S@H, and thus may not have access to the sets. However, I will admit that doing what he did DOES sound like he was (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: My worst E-Bay/LEGO Experience-A Story, A Warning

(...) I had a similar experience that actually worked out in my favor. Back when the classic train was out, I wanted to buy the classic train kit because I needed the extra track and speed regulator. I saw an auction for the kit on ebay and bid and (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: My worst E-Bay/LEGO Experience-A Story, A Warning

<snip recap of unfortunate ebay transaction> Well, hopefully the Lego packing slip will educate other biddders as to where to find those "rare" and "hard to find" sets that pop up on eBay.(Not a moral either, but maybe a happy ending, kinda.)   My worst E-Bay/LEGO Experience-A Story, A Warning

I've wanted to share this story since I first started posting to LUGNET, but couldn't find the information to share until doing some digging around the house on other LEGO related business this evening. This story is a warning to my LUGNET friends (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.services)

PayPal rates going up July 14 (was Re: US Postal Rates go up July 1, 2001)

(...) FWIW, PayPal is splitting their business rates on July 14. Up until now, PP had two rate structures: Personal (very small volume and free) and business/premier (larger volume and not free). PP appears to have decided to segment the (...) (23 years ago, 30-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.services, lugnet.market.shipping)

  Re: Brickbay Down?

(...) Hmmm.. I just used it, seemed fine to me (other than the 389 active users <g> ) Also note that email is working again. Lets hope it last longer than one day this time. Ray (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.services)

  Brickbay Down?

TO All, I tried going on Brickbay, it is crashing everytime, I saw the last user count was 542. Is that right? It is really weird! Scott S. -- (23 years ago, 21-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: large number of Brickbay users??

(...) Or for the conspiricy theorists out there, is Interland falsly exaggerating the amount of traffic on BrickBay to support their campaign to dump the site without honoring their contract? (Insert X Files like music here) But then, I'm one to (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: large number of Brickbay users??

(...) I'm wondering the same thing. It started sometime just after 2pm EDT today. I was updating some picture links on a few parts, and watched it climb from mid- 50s, 200, 300... I think it topped out about 850, then slowly decreased to what you (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.services)

  large number of Brickbay users??

In the last 10 minutes I have seen the number of users reported on Brickbay climb from one hundred something to over 300: You are 1 of 345 Active Users. Is Brickbay getting hit with some sort of attack? /Eric McC/ (23 years ago, 17-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.services)

  Re: More PayPal Changes

(...) Yep, the most annoying is the change to the fee structure for payments below $15. It used to be a flat 30-cents. Nows its 30-cents + 2.2% regardless of the amount. The 2.2% being an adjustable rate (although I'm not sure if its pegged to the (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.services)

  More PayPal Changes

Now PayPal is charging a $1.50 fee to withdraw funds by check. Withdraw by electronic transfer is still free for the time being. This is the major change, but there are also some other changes that they posted that you should know about so take a (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.services)

  International Paypal withdrawals

Has anyone successfully withdrawn money from their paypal account? I have had an account for ages and registered a UK bank account once I could not use a credit card.   Re: PayPal policy change

  Re: PayPal policy change

Hi Kyle, The answers you have received from Paypal are in fact better than the ones I have received, but are still not very informative. (...)
