I currently have some 30+ MISB shell mini sets from 1998, and I am quite
sure there are people elsewhere with plenty of spare promo's/ mini sets.

If there is enough interest I propose to start a small promo box. The idea
would be for the box to regularly change countries, ideally every 4-6 stops.
Residents of each area may remove whatever they like from a box, but they
MUST replace it with items that would be considered rare outside that area.

i.e Euorpeans could contribute;-
    1998 and 1999 Shell minis,
    possibly 1998 world cup promo's
    Shooting cannons
    ? Znap anyone ?
Any other parts/sets requested by the next area.

USAsians / canadians? could contribute;-
    1999-2000 McDonalds polybags,
    Roboforce signature pieces,
    (I'd like) Green majisto's hats,
    Red/White ninja's,
Anything else specific to the area.

Anyone who has other rare parts can add them, even if not local;-
    Kabaya promo's
    Maidens hats (any colour)
    etc.

A complete set of 10 shell mini sets weighs in at a fraction over 12 ounces
or 350 grams. Therefore I would impose a 500g limit on the box, i.e, you may
send on as large and heavy a box as you wish, but you are not _required_ to
increase the size/weight of an already heavy box - you may even reduce its
weight to 500g! What I am striving for is rarity over quantity.

Similarly, in order to keep international (airmail?) shipping costs down,
paper items should be kept to a minimum, though small quantities of local
stickers/leaflets may be welcomed in the next area (world cup sticker sheets
anyone)?

If this gets off the ground, I would like the box to return to the UK every
3 months, though it may pass through as many other continents as it likes
within that time.

Also, any thoughts on perhaps allowing those who shell out for international
shipping being the first in their area to receive the box next time round?
i.e if LarryP sends the box to Australia, then when someone from Holland is
sending it to the USA, LarryP is the first to receive it? The greater
concentration of foreign Lego next time could be an incentive to pay a
little more in shipping?

Anyway, comments please.

Its time for me to stop procastinating, and get this show on the road - even if I'm still not sure how to work it! If nobody objects, then I will send the box out to Frank in a week or so, or as soon as I get his address. The box can then continue (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

(...) I'd like to get on the list for this box. I've got some spare McD's sets and I think I have an extra keychain or two or some holiday sets. Russell (24 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)
