  Re: Equivalency Question

(...) I have the same opinion. The Fabuland gargae may appear useless to many people, but if the box would eventually come to me (I'm in the Netherlands, so the shipping costs are much higher compared to inside the USA), I would take the garage out (...) (...) every (...) the furthest east (Newfoundland), so I've no problem with being an entry or exit point. I'm all by my lonesome at the moment, but I believe there's a certain train fella swinging into town in the near future. James is quite right (...)   Re: Equivalency Question

(...) I agree with your assessment, but it doesn't lead us to any kind of solid ground for deciding what to trade. I guess each person will just have to try to stick to the spirit of the thing. If you're putting fabuland figs in the box, I want you (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

In lugnet.market.jambalaya, Christopher L. Weeks writes: *snip* (...) Yes, there's more of us out here that want to participate. Waiting for more assurance of fairness to the next person in line to get the jambalaya box before I jump in. Ed (25 years ago, 21-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: Be we Jammin' at the Convention?

(...) I wouldn't mind seeing one (or more!) of those boxes move through Canada, at some point. I'm sure there are several people that would be interested. In the interests of keeping the costs down, I would suggest the box only crosses into Canada (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya, lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Equivalency Question

(...) Ultimately I think all 3 should grow but each individual's focus should be increasing value, diversity and uniqueness of the pieces in each box. Even if the piece count or bulk decreases in one swap, they should go up over time. A Fabuland (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Equivalency Question

Hi all, I'm thinking about replacing the stuff I take whenever the option comes to me and I'm interested in thoughts from y'all. I am taking it for granted that I will replace with more/better (by a little) than what I take, but some things are hard (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: technic box

(...) Wow, now there's a devoted fan of the brick! :) (...) Larry's got all the stuff now (just handed it off to him about 3 hours ago). He seemed keen on the idea of an all-Technic box too, but it's out of my hands at this point. I think there's an (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Pictures!

I'd still be interested in even a larger box of minifigs coming my way. Paying a few extra bucks to send it off to the next participant is no big deal. Who should I give my address to regarding this hypothetical minifig box? Larry? (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Pictures!

Ya know Todd.. I don't know why you aren't trying to auction some of that stuff of.. there's still some good stuff in those bags!!!! Ok, lets get the sign up stuff going.. I'll offer to do a manual one till we figure out a better way to do it.. I'll (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Addresses

Besides... doesn't a almost complete list already exist?? of course it's in Todd's computer :) I can see the need for some type of prg'ing to be done as far as listing address's and mailing them out for the next person.. though I don't see the need (...)   Parts interest query

I'm not sure if I'll end up starting a box of my own, or just putting some of these parts into the boxes I get, but some of the excess mescelany I have is: Duplo - random bits an pieces included in regular Lego lots 3+ freestyle doors & windows (the (...)   technic box

This jambalaya thing has got to be the greatest idea ever thought up by mankind! I would like to see the technic box idea come to fruition. Send it my way and I will put some goodies in it! heeheehee this sounds like fun! John Matthews (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: Announcement: New jambalya...who wants it?

Well.. I'm more castle oriented.. though I do a use stuff from all themes in some ways... so all in all I'd have to say nothing in particular.. unless it's definately something from my want's list :) which I'd really like!!   Which junk mail is more evil? (Was: Addresses)

(...) Truly a sign of the times. I'm much, much more concerned about throwing away junk snail mail -- and the paper that goes into that waste -- than I am about someone stealing Internet bandwidth and wasting my time. Plus, I'm not too keen about (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: New group...moving forward?

(...) I should clarify that bit too -- by "let go" I mean not staying closely involved with the evolving rules and day-to-day interactions. Since it's got so much potential to evolve into many different types of packages and rule-sets, I'd rather (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)
