I haven't received any order confirmation emails from Brickbay for several
weeks now. I have the same problem with the Wanted Item notify emails not
coming.
So here's what I have done to work around these two problems:
First, I look at my Wanted Item List once a day (usually in the morning) to
see if anything new has been added. I compare what is on the screen with a
printout from the previous day or two. If there are deletions, then I just
cross off or modify the number of available items. It's a pain, but better
than nothing.
Secondly, for the missing order confirmation emails, after placing the
order, I send out the following email message of my own using my email
program (once I print out a copy of the order, the seller's address
converted to an envelope and the seller's email address from My Brickbay) to
the seller:
"Subject: New Brickbay order placed on 6-^-01 from your shop
Dear "Seller's Name":
I understand that Brickbay's server does not send out emails right now that
confirm that a new order has been placed. Since this is the case, I thought
I'd send you an email to let you know that I placed an order from your shop
so you can go to "My Brickbay" and take a look.
Here is the order number: "12345". The total is $12.34 for a total of 12
items. I have chosen to pay via a personal check which I'll send out once I
receive the total due with shipping.
My name and address to send the Lego to are as follows:
Your Name Here
1234 AnyPlace Drive
AnyCity, AnyState 54321
Thanks,
Your Name Here"
