I've got a Pelouze, a pretty accurate scale, and I have access to the rate calculator (although it's a pain to use... my scale and my shipping supplies are two stories away from where my computer normally is, and I have no plans to put a (...) (...) Food scales don't work well, the platforms are usually too small. I use a Pelouze PE10 postal scale, $84 at OfficeMax.com, they usually have on-line coupons (check FlamingoWorld, I think I ended up paying $50 delivered). Its a 10-lb capacity (...)   Re: ebay rant

(...) Aye, there's the rub. To enter the weight you have to know the weight. Most people don't have more than a bathroom scale at home. I don't even like that much inaccuracy to determine Priority weights to the nearest pound, and it's virtually (...) (23 years ago, 28-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.auction)

(...) That's a good one. Pretense indeed. It's funny but eBay can at different times screw over both buyers AND small sellers. The only guys that are safe are the big time sellers.   Re: ebay rant

Being a eBay seller, I can understand why someone would only ship to a certain location. Mail from overseas to the US takes a long time, and in some cases can even take more than a month (long time to wait for a payment for an auction). Also, if (...) (...) Okay, go ahead. :) (...) Without incurring a penalty if no one bids? Sorry, but depending on what the STARTING price is, they already 'incurred a penalty' by having to pay a LISTING fee.
