  Re: back in cow-lumbus

(...) Yikes... am I just blanking or have I not met you before, Michael? Congratulations on the marrying thing. That's certainly a big enough deal to be excused from attending a get together. :) (...) Brick-wars is a bit beyond me, too.. for (...) (...) I think the last get-together was back in February of this year... I couldn't attend because I got married the day before. ;) Up north, they get together for brick-wars (not really my cup of tea). Around here, we tend to meet at someone's (...)   back in cow-lumbus

Well, after leaving a crappy job far away and getting a new one in columbus, i'm starting to unpack all the legos. I was wondering what the LUG people are like here in town. What are the get-togethers like? Scooter (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

Re: Shell Promo sets sighted in Columbus.

Last night I saw at least three different Shell stations with the "Lego" banner. This was while driving from Hilliard to Worthington. There is a very good chance you can find the sets on the north and west sides of town, but I'm not sure what sets (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)

Shell Promo sets sighted in Columbus.

My wife and I were driving down Wilson last night on the west side and the Shell just south of the I-70 & Wilson interchange has the 'other' LEGO Promo sets - the carwash etc that have been sighted in WA, NC and VA. They have LEGO flags, banners and (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)

  Re: Is this anyone's kid?

Nore was it my kid who is 12 and hasn't been to Legoland. Maybe someday. And he'd better take me with him. The guy who built the Titanic that was in Mania Magazine was supposedly building something at Comfest, but by the time I had time to check it (...) In lugnet.loc.us.oh, David Lairson writes: <snipped> (...) I don't think that any of us are "normal", it's just not wrong. I tell my wife that at least playing with LEGO is creative.   Re: Any Lugneters in Ohio, specifically around or near Dayton?

(...) Joel, Thanks for the reply. I think it would be good to maybee try and get something together. I keep trying to show my wife that a man who collects and plays with lego's is somewhat normal.   Re: Any Lugneters in Ohio, specifically around or near Dayton?

Any Lugneters in Ohio, specifically around or near Dayton?

  Is this anyone's kid?

Well, I had to walk in Hilliard's 4th of July parade because I am a Parks & Rec. employee and something really small caught my interest. A little kid, maybe 6 or 7 years old, was collecting candy in a Legoland Carlsbad plastic bag. I have no idea (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col, lugnet.people)
