Re: The Next Ohio Brikwars Meeting

(...) We haven't, but that's a very interesting idea. (URL) like if we want to register to hold an event there, we have to do it by May 5th. This idea has promise (although the registration fee might suck.) Adrian (24 years ago, 17-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)

Re: The Next Ohio Brikwars Meeting

I live in Georgia, not Ohio, but I would still like to see one of your games. Have you given any thought to having a game at Origins 2000 in Columbus? I believe the date is July 13-16th. I think it would get a lot of interest there. Matt (...) (24 years ago, 17-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)

  The Next Ohio Brikwars Meeting

After the discussions in front of the library after we were kicked out (sorry you left so soon, Drew) we decided that it might be better to hold the next BrikWars event in Cleveland, as 3 of the 5 people at that session were from Cleveland, and Gino (...) (...) If we don't use the Robotics Supplement to design mechs (Which I did not use to design mine) then a vehicle with legs is classified as a treaded vehicle, and follows all the rules of said treaded vehicle. Adrian (24 years ago, 14-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)

(...) "If your mech is a regular ground vehicle..." How can a mech be a "regular ground vehicle?" And how can a mech be a "small treaded vehicle?" (...) If you go by these guys' rules (which IMHO are pretty good rules), then you only multiply the larger two of the three dimensions: so for a 4brix x 6dots x 8dots, the larger two dimensions are 6 and 8, giving you a Size of 6x8=48. 48 makes your (...) (...) Well, not that I'll field all 1000 CP's of course, but it adds up pretty quickly. I mean 40 unaltered Troops is 200 CP's. Each modified Flash Speeder is over 200 CP's. In most of my past wargames, I always preferred to play infantry, so (...) (24 years ago, 13-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)

As for hieght, we used a brick (brik?) as being one unit. For 'mechs, we took the torso, and multiplied the larger two of the three dimensions. So a tall skinny 4x2x6 (width, depth, height) torso would cost as much as a short squat fatty 6x4x2. For (...) (24 years ago, 13-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)
