    GALUG? —Craig Hamilton
hi y'all ~ i've seen the other regional user groups posting on lugnet, and wondered why there's not one for georgia, or at least the south-east.(SELUG?) what is involved in starting a regional user group, or organizing a fest (fest-ive get (...)         Re: GALUG? —Ray Sanders
Hi Craig, I might even drive up for a GA meeting, seeing as how I *seem* to be the only AFOL in this part of (north) Florida. Macon would be nice, but I suppose all the GA AFOLs are arounf Atlanta. Ray (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ga)

         Re: GALUG? —Craig Hamilton
(...) hey, ray ~ which is why i think SELUG (south eastern lego user group) would be a better idea. it could unite handfulls of folks from atlanta, florida, alabama, and tennesee into quite a nice-sized group. please let me hear from y'all. macon (...)          Re: GALUG? —Craig Livingston
(...) I'm game. I am not sure what is involved, since I haven't followed the other regional groups closely, but it sounds like a great idea.           Re: GALUG? —Craig Hamilton
(...) very good, then! south carolina is certainly part of the south-east. there are a few of us sprinkled throughout the state of georgia, but there are a lot of legophiles clustered in and around atlanta from the looks of things. i've been reading (...)          Re: GALUG? —Brian Sauls
(...) better (...) I think it's a wunnerful idea. I seem to be alone in Nashville (at least according to loc.us.tn.nas), although I could roadtrip over to Knoxville (time, time, time. <sigh>) to meet with some fellow AFOL's. And I'm considering a (...) (25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ga)

        Re: GALUG? —James J. Trobaugh
Heck I'm game, some one put it together and I'll show up. I'll even help get things going, just let me know what needs to be done.         Re: GALUG? —Greg Crisp
What a great idea! I've been hoping someone would bring this up. Let's get serious: A weekend is probably the best time for most, perhaps a Saturday...    (...) wow! seven responses in just four days! we are well on our way, folks! a south eastern group looks good, so deciding on our identity comes first.    <Blatant Plug> BellSouth Buzz, BellSouth's web portal, offers free web sites to "community" organizations. It's pretty easy to set up, and I think it comes with a discussion group. We could try this as our web page. I would be happy to set it up. Is (...) (25 years ago, 23-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ga)
