Well, I think an October meeting is OK, personally.
I'd rather hold out for a Saturday...I just want more time
to play. :-)
As for the December meeting...it's HARD to get a date between
Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it also harder getting a bunch
of our members to a meeting in that window, even if we do
secure a meeting room. :-(
As much as I'd like a pre-Christmas winter meeting, to show off
our trains (and get into the spirit), I'm starting to think that
I'd prefer a January meeting, and show off what we all got for
Christmas/Hanuka (and what we got on clearance afterwards! :-).
Based on the lastt two years, it's been hard for members to
attend in December, and the public walk-in attendance has also been
pretty low. Sure, it might help LEGO store sales to show in December,
but I think they'd have better luck by giving us some mini-
catalogs to hand out, and to point folks at S@H and the local
stores *after* the holiday rush!
What about anyone else?
