Hello Timothy,
I live in the North West (Northwich in Cheshire) which is about 25 miles from
Manchester. I think there is another AFOL living closer still (Stockport?).
Anyway, I recently saw some clear plastic storage boxes with dark solid lids at
one of the large 'Tesco Extra' shops in Warrington. I cannot remember the price
but they did strike me as being excellent value. Not sure where the larger Tesco
stores are situated in Manchester though.
One other place you must visit is Busy Bee Toys - Wilbraham Road, Friendly
staff, nice attitude and good deals on Lego.

| (...) Tim I use a mixture of clear plastic boxes and flat zag boxes, I've put a couple of pictures up, excuse the quality. (URL) Zag boxes come from B&Q and they have removeable trays inside so you can take out the ones you want, they are also (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.uk)
