  Allow myself to indroduce... myself

Hello, I'd like to introduce myself to the Australian Lego community. My name, as you have probably already worked out, is Allister Mclaren. I've just recently come out of the 'dark ages' as I've seen them referred to, when I was searching for some (...) (22 years ago, 2-Aug-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Allow myself to introduce... myself

(...) Welcome dude. I look forward to worthy space models - space has room enough :-) And it tends to be the engineers who turn out the best stuff too. We accountants and systems wizards have to work hard for what engineers seem able to whip out (...) (22 years ago, 2-Aug-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Yeah baby (was: allow myself to introduce....myself)

Hi Allister, I am a newsgroup lurker who has been spurred into posting in response to your introduction. For a while there I thought you were writing about me. For example : I'm 33, married with 2 kids, age 5 and 2, mortgage (in Coorparoo), dark age (...) (22 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Yeah baby (was: allow myself to introduce....myself)

(...) Eerie. I found some Classic Space minifigs in a tub of jambalaya I picked up last week, not to mention the 2 4x1 blue bricks with LL918 on it and lots of CS logo bricks (woohoo). I've got a suspicion that there's a 6950 in there too :^) (...) (...) (22 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Allow myself to indroduce... myself

(...) Thank Mel. (...) And some. I've seen a lot of Lego on the internet in the last couple of months, and impressed by pretty much all of it. In fact I blame my browsing through brickshelf for the house full of garage sale Lego I now have laying (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Yeah baby (was: allow myself to introduce....myself)

(...) Gee that place must be a hive of activity. We're building the Magnesium Smelter for AMC up there fairly soon. I'm told I'll have some involvement in that project, though yet to see to what level ~ and whether that means an opportunity to go up (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Yeah baby (was: allow myself to introduce....myself)

(...) Hi Allister and Scott ! (...) Stop lurking and start posting, all you lurkers out there. Go along to a local meeting and get involved. (...) I had to read that last sentence twice...hmmm. The thirty-something parent with a long dark age gets (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) The Black Space Baracuda, give it some rocket engines, some cockpit to protect the captain and you have a great space crossover (this I might actually build if I can afford the re-issued BSB) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Yeah baby (was: allow myself to introduce....myself)

(...) and, The Black Cheese Barracuda - left out in the sun too long. (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Yeah baby (was: allow myself to introduce....myself)

(...) It's the non-Lego stuff in there that piques my curiosity. We fould a rifle bullet in this lot. (...) Actually it's not that bad. I didn't have a real big collection - it fit in one 4l ice-cream tub, and my 857 motorbike and sidecar is still (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.loc.au)
