Not satisfied with my truss bridge, I decided to build a cable-stayed
bridge, based loosely on the Batman bridge over the Tamar river in Tassie.

Only problem is the load on the land-fill holding up the tower - with heavy
trains, it tends to tilt over, making the bridge deck sag. But if it's
movement is restricted, it works fine.

| (...) Depends on the bridge 8?) The "black & white bridge" is fairly easily adjustable height-wise, and is built exactly 3 baseplates long with landfill at the ends to butt up against the "land-height" tables. (...) Resistance is futile.... ROSCO (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.au)
