This is a post trying to gauge the interest in exhibiting at the large train
show that is held on the october long weekend here in Sydney. Are there
people who want to do this? If so in what capacity (providing scenery,
track/rolling stock, help at the show). Is this even a feasable idea this year?
I'm posting at the top level since the invite is open to Victorians and
Queenslanders (Tasmainians and South and Western Australians too) if they
are able to attend or send models.

Since last weekend at MUGfest, we had a train layout going (pictures to come), and there was a bit of interest in trains, there may be a chance some of the MUGs could be interested. (...) Maybe. I would like some more info on where it's being staged and manning requirements and security arrangements, but it sounds like a great idea. I wonder what the acceptance factor is amongst model trainheads for wonky scale Lego trains. I (...) (24 years ago, 6-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

(...) Yes, well, that has me a bit cheesed off (not your siggy, but that there's good reason for it to be making a swipe). I am totally baffled why after all the fuss and bother the ringleaders wouldn't invite everyone to participate, after all it's (...) (24 years ago, 7-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

If we're gonna try this, maybe we should try to get a (semi-)serious layout happening in Melbourne for the StudFest in June? Just to give it a go, and see what we're doing wrong 8?)
