Amongst model trainheads, Lego trains do not enjoy a high acceptance
factor. "They're just toys" is the usual comment (I think they mean it as
an insult....). There have been a few anti Lego train comments on
aus.rail.models in the past.
Amongst the crowd of kids that turn up to train shows, acceptance of
Lego is very high. They can relate to it (they don't mind the odd
Thomas the Tank Engine either).
