I'm surprised you didn't also post this to the regular lugnet.train
newsgroup...it would have got some of them into the conversation.
I think I have a few similiar experiences like that...I mean to start off,
when some people that know me find out about my interest in collecting
Lego...they have a notion that it is "just a toy"...even my mom's boyfriend
who collects model trains, thinks its a bit "wierd" that I still collect
it, and am realy into the train series - I have 6 trains at the moment,
and 2 more coming that I won/bought off e-bay.
I am really into town, but I think what has kept me into town is the
prospect of having several train sets, and building the town around the
trains....
In case you are wondering i am 26, and only stopped collecting Lego for
4 years, and most of the stuff that Lego put out during that time was
not as good as between 1989 and 1995. Actually, the stuff right now I
don't really like...they need to put out some more sets in the town and
train lines like they did in the past.
