    Greetings —Ross Crawford
Hi fellow lego fans. I just found lugnet, after finally purchasing a Mindstorms set. I've been doing some work on LegOS (an alternative to the program provided by lego). I had lots of Lego when I was a kid (managed to keep a fair bit of it!!) but (...) (24 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) Hi Ross, Welcome to lugnet.loc.au !! On a day to day basis, Big W is the best place for Lego, if there's one near you; sets are usually 10% less than elsewhere, and old stock can go on sale for 40-60% off. Target's just had a 25% off sale, and (...) (24 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Mindstorms 2.0 vs 1.5 (was Re: Greetings) —Deidre Rushton Brumby
(...) Do you reckon they might package some of the new sensors in with a new release? That would push the price up but still might be cheaper than buying them separately (I'm hopeful, aren't I?!) (...) I wonder..., did they ever clear 1.0 models out (...)        Hi, Diedre, (...) Didnt v1 have a mains adapter connection? That would be really handy while developing programs. Maybe that'll get re-instated... (...) What's the weather like in Tas?        (...) I think the mains adaptor was why many people considered 1.0 a better buy than 1.5, it'd be nice if Lego was paying attention! (...) I'm in Hobart. Last night we got the leftovers of Melbourne's windstorm. It is quite a bit better today but (...) (24 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

This posting is way out of context, but I'm, sure ya'll can answer this one.      David, Thanks for the info!! I'm mostly looking for Technics type stuff - its a bummer that supplement sets arent available anymore. What's Lego Direct? Is that just a US thing?
