Hi fellow lego fans.

Welcome to the group!

I just found lugnet, after finally purchasing a Mindstorms set. I've been • doing
some work on LegOS (an alternative to the program provided by lego).

I'm a big fan of the Mindstorms, myself. If you want to get into more
powerful programming languages for it, grab NQC. Allows you to program your
RCX in C, and it's extremely flexible.

I had lots
of Lego when I was a kid (managed to keep a fair bit of it!!)

So what sets/themes were you interested in then / now? What was your
favourite?

but what I really
want to know is, wheres the best place in Oz to get lego? I know Target & • Myer
have it, and DSE & TRU, but are there any other sources?

Generally, the 'best' place to get Lego varies considerably, depending on
the range that each store has, and the what sales are on at any point in
time. Most of us here buy our lego at all the above stores, plus whatever
toy stores are local. That's one of the great things about this newsgroup.
We keep each other informed on stock / avaiability, and sales, so we can get
the cheapest sets possible.

Does Lego do mail-order in australia?

Not yet, but it looks like we might shortly get Lego Direct, where you can
order sets from Lego Australia over the phone / internet.

Glad to have you with us,
David Drew.
