Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, was warned by Polonius to "beware the sinister
sword".

Quite a nice play on words there by Shakespeare, since it was the second
sword (held en-passant in the left hand) that was poisoned, hence
sinister in both the Latin and English meanings of the word. :)

It's been a while since I've read some Shakespeare, but it's little
things like this that just reinforce just how good a writer he was.
