He calls them human Bionicles. Only thing is he wants us to buy 4 of the
black ones, to even up the good and evil sides.

These figures look like good fun for the target age group, it will be
interesting to see if some of the new parts appear elsewhere in sets or MOCs.

My son has just turned 9.  At his party on the weekend, he received (amongst
other things) an assortment of Bionicles, and a Knights Kingdom figure - the
dark eviiil one.

At time of receipt the KK figure was deemed the most exciting thing ever by
pretty much all of the kids (boys and girls), mine included.  It was much
admired all through the celebrations by its recipient, whom apparently couldn't
wait to get home to build it.

So, here we are a few days later (after a quick trip to the stores to swap
duplicate Bionicles as he already had quite a collection), and all the new
Bionicles have been built, and rebuilt, and combined into strange monster
things, and the KK figure is, well, still sealed in its canister.

I'm quite disappointed, I want to see what it's like!  It does indeed look quite
interesting, and given the initial "WOW!" reaction and the fact that kiddo is in
fact castle/medieval warfare mad, I'm really surprised that this excitement
didn't seem to last long enough to even _open_ the thing... I think some
encouragement is in order - we'll see what happens!

pete.w (rain finished last weekend here, is it back down south Deidre ?)

Surprisingly, it's still fine.  I imagine the rain will be back before we've had
a chance to dry out properly though :(
